MAGNETIC FORCES
Magnets work because of an invisible force. Scientists, engineers, and inventors have many uses of magnets. They are used in computers and electric motors. They are used in medical devices, CD and DVD players among other things.

MAGNETIC LAB DUE DATE: Thursday, January 27th, 2011.
FRICTION FORCES
Friction is the force applied to the surface of an object when it moves against another object. Friction can slow down an object or stop it from moving.
Questions to ponder
1. Can the force of friction be helpful when creating and designing megastructures?
2. What would happen if the friction force was absent?
3. What can be done to reduce the force of friction?
